A 40-people strong delegation from the China Entrepreneur Club (CEC) will pay a week-long business visit to France and Belgium in search of trade cooperation and business opportunities, confirmed Liu Chuanzhi, director of the CEC, at the “Chinese Entrepreneurs to Visit France & Belgium” press conference on Tuesday in Beijing.
Liu Chuanzhi, who is also Chairman of Lenovo Group, said that this visit would be good for creating more opportunities in sustainable business development.
During this visit, the CEC delegation aims to learn more about French businesses and promote the positive image of China’s private enterprises through in-depth dialogue with political, commercial and academic peers from France and other countries in the world, Liu said.
In addition, Liu wanted Chinese entrepreneurs to take this opportunity to enhance communication with international communities and look for business cooperation with other countries.
Sylvie Bermann, the French ambassador in China, said that building strong economic cooperation between China and France, particularly through investment in both countries, is important for developing bilateral relations; and the visit of Chinese entrepreneurs to France will help strengthen common understanding and enhance communication between enterprises in the two countries.
The theme of this year’s visit is “Priding on Contract and New Economy.”
Liu mentioned that legal and social contracts are the cornerstone of a modern society and efficient market-driven economy. It is now essential for enterprises to stay aware of their social responsibility and carry out contractual practices. While China continues to reform, the need for a new economy built on the basis of contract is more pressing than ever.
Tracing its roots back to Rousseau’s Du Contrat Social, France is recognized as the birthplace of the social contract, something in which the French people take great pride.
The delegation will visit the two countries from 23rd to 30th June, at the invitation of French President Francois Hollande and Belgian Government.
Established in 2006, the China Entrepreneur Club (CEC) is a non-profit organization consisting of some of the most influential business leaders in China.
